Lundi, Monday, was a tiring day. I woke up quite tired, and did not make it in time for breakfast. Bought choco milk from Timmy Ho (hahaa local slangg), which was somehow more expensive than capppucinos. We met counselor S's lil bro, P. They look almost identical. Also something that amuses me is that their names are those of a father and son in sleeping beauty. Anyways he sat with me and C and L at lunch as well. He already has a mass of groupies. This week is CSI week. (Molecular Biology etc.) So we had a reasonably interesting lecture from an originally Desi woman about molecular biology. This covered the basics that I'd never learned and helped ,me understand some of the other experiments. 100_5388 After lunch we examined a staged crime scene (the blood smelled of chili sauce) collecting evidence and bagging it and what not, just like CSI. Then we had a lecture from a man who spoke in a voice that made everyone quite sleepy. In fact a vast number of people put their heads on their arms on the table and napped. I was scared to do such a thing as S was sitting next to me and had previously mocked me because of my drowsiness in a lecture. However funnily enough, HE WAS DROPPING OFF. I could see him struggling to stay awake and his head bobbing up and down so I gave him a look. The only point at which I felt extremely drowsy was when we went to the UV lab, here the lights were switched off, and we looked at a variety of substances using a blacklight. My hair dye is supposed to flouresce in UV light and Blacklight, so I wanted to see, however, sadly I could not find the pink strand. After this was dinner, when I really could not resist and ate Chili Fries with un-Halal beef. Meh. The evening activity was in 2 parts. Part one was that we had to build an aircraft that would carry an egg to the ground safely. If the egg survived the fall, we were allowed to crack it over one of the counselors heads. Ours survived very well, however when cracking it over the counselors head it splattered all over my clothing. Eww. 100_5455 The other thing was to buld a boat which could carry as many Pop cans as possible. Ours took 48, however some had the capacity to take more, so one of the lighter councelors was made to sit on these boats. Amidst all this I became extremely dirty. So I decided to do my washing today. I'm currently waiting to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer so I can collect dry ones in the morning. It was all very tiring, and I had to ask poor sweet V for her key and favours several times to accomplish this task. I have also broken my flipflops, which I require for walking place, and had to borrow tape from V as a temporary solution. We ended up talking (I felt it was rude to leave and that I was taking advantage of her), however this delayed my timing. -sigh-. I shall be exhausted tomorrow. We're playing a game throughout the entire group called Assasin. Basically each person has a hit list, they must kill these poeople before they themselves are killed. Killing may only be done in complete privacy.
Tuesday. Hmm. Let's see, day begin rather boringly. We had a lecture in the morning. I bought Starbucks before it, but as I was running late, did not add sugar and vanilla giving a rather bitter taste. Ick. The lecture was interesting and seemed to explain some of what had been spoken about but what I had not understood last week. :) In the Lab we tested inks, DNA and samples from the crime scene, FUN. There were a number of incubation periods during which I drew Mehndi/Henna patterns on the gloves of New Yorker M. Teaching Assistant, A explained to us a number of things we hadn't fully understood, and she told us not to worry if some of the information we were receiving was well over our heads as she learnt much of it in her second year. Lunch was really good but dinner sucked. Meh. Sports was cancelled on account of rain and mudding, so me, M, S, V, L & C hung out in the common rooming talking, eating cherries and learning Chinese etc. Afterwards, V and I went to the convenience store I bought Soda Tonic and Club Soda, Canada Dry, as I felt if their ginger ale was good this would be too. On the ways their and back V tagh me to say "Where are the bathrooms" in Chinese. Now I can say it in several languages. 1) Where are the toilets? 2) Ou sont les toilettes? 3) Ghussalkhana kahan peh heh? 4) Fein al hammam? 5) Donde esta el bano? 6) Woe sind die toiletten? 7) Tse Sho Tien Zai Na Li ?. When we got back I called C to say this to him.V gave me the extensions 3210 for him, so I called and straight out said this. The voice on the other end responded in Chinese, and I said "what's does that mean?". The voice then said "it mean's where are the toilets?. It struck me all of a sudden that this was not at all the voice of C so I hung up, shocked. Then I went to V's, she said it had been a mistake and C's extension was in face 3201. -_-. So we then called him, and I asked for the toilets. He was amused. I told him what had happened. He asked if the voice had been soft. I said I supposed. He said it could have been that of P, brother of S. This worried me. Then V called 3210 and asked for C. When the voice responded that this was not C's room, v asked who it was. As it turned out it was R in our class who is extremely quiet. When I got home I tasted the 2 drinks I'd purchased. The Soda Tonic was positively disgusting, and the Club Soda tated like perrier which I dont really like. Then M and I added orange juice to a glass of both to see if the taste improved. Soda Tonic was still AWFUL. 100_5464 We then added lens solution, perfume, lotion, and Pink hair dye to it. We then put mousse on top making foam, and I sprinkled some of the dots from my irons pills over it. It was beautifully pink and appetizing. 100_5466 Also we made a second drink using toothpaste, shampoo, body cream and hair mousse. It was very multicoloured. We crushed a yellow strepsil in tonic and added it. We then placed the 2 cups by a bathtub in hopes no one would see. PRETTY :)
Wednesdayy... we solved the crime. It was really quite straightforward and we pieced together the crime scene. The guy who lectured us was over enthusiastic and sweated profusely. Ew. Umm, on the way back to the residence from the Med.Building T and I had an argument about Chromosomes. It wasn't really an argument, in the sense that I only wanted him to explain, but he felt I was contesting him and decided to prove it to me using iPhone internet which cost a fair bit. Hmm that evening the activity was Eaton Center again. I did not feel a need to go, however M would not pass up the opportunity and went dragging S along with her. Me, L, V and J hung out in my room. We sang Mulan song "I'll make a man out of you" especially, and discussed good-looking guys. It was really fun. I think tensions had been mounting between M and I, and even when the both of us were in the room, we would often not speak at all or acknowledge each other's presence. I guess that happens when you see too much of someone. Ah well. Anyways much later on that night, she told me that T, who had been dragged along to Eaton Center by the Spanish Girls, had complained about me. Or not complained exactly but mentioned our earlier tiff. He had then picked a flower and asked S to deliver it to me. Idk exactly what followed.
Thursday we played around with some bacteria and their genes, and in the evening there was a dance party. As I did not think this would be like a home one I did not go. Instead I worked on our interesting Karytoyping Presentation with S. M was in T's group (apparantly he hand picked the smartest kids. I found her group in our room working. My underwear drawer must have been opened as T asked if it was comfortable to wear a bra. -_-. I'm writing this some days later and don't really remember more of that day.
Friday... there were presentations. Haha. We did not win in our team, F and the Spanish guys won with their House presentation. It was well deserved. T's team won over all. For dinner we made Japanese Chicken curry, this time a spicier version. There were more of us as well, counsellor S ate, and we sent some food to co-ordinator T. It was good :D After that, we were all forced to go to Eaton Center. Me, L and V looked around, had Starbucks, went into shoe-shops etc. On the way back home I was walking with T for a bit. He asked "do you like anyone here". I said "like... um like in what way?". He said "I think you know...". Then I said "there's no one I have a crush on... ". Then he said "not even me?" So I said "Oh of course, I LOVE you". After we got back, J slept over and we watched Harper's Island.
Saturday. I woke up early to say bye to J and L. It was quite saddening as I had grown rather attached to them. The option was to go to Nascar or Vaughan Mills Shopping Center. I chose Nascar, as the majority of my friends had done so. V who has narcolepsy was falling asleep and her head was lolling rather a lot. I ended up sat next to T, who informed me that oe of the Spanish girls had very hairy arms. He then asked if I liked Muse, and said I looked like a Muse person. How he knew this i don't know but it was strange. We got there and discovered it was a kids arcade. -scowl-. So me and EM wandered around the shops and I bought a pair of gladiator sandals which I find very sexy :) 100_5569 Hmm, on the way back I nodded off for a bit. One of the Spanish girls asked T if she could have a drink from his water bottle. He replied flat out no, and I think she was quite shocked. He then went on to explain he did not wish to share bacteria, proceeded to chug down some more water and gave her the remainder, telling her not to return the bottle. Someone asked him what he would to when he had to kiss a girl. He said he would use cellophane or in vent a tongue condom. Idiot. After we got back we hung about for a bit, and then I went to the music room with T and F. They discussed girls and T commented on the arm and upper lip hair of a few. F somehow managed to make comments that meant nothing. They discussed the difference between physical attraction and emotional attachment. T said there was this one girl. I quote. He asked about my crushes again but I said I'd only been here for 3 weeks. I asked F how vibrato was done, and he told me it was like masturbation. Then both T and he gave me very vivid descriptions which I do not care to think of ever again. C and V joined us later, they play piano fantastically. I wish I had focus or determination to excel in any field. Ah well.
Sunday we were supposed to go to the zoo. This was an epic fail due to downpours of smelly rain. Yuck. They then proposed mini-glow-in-the-dark-golf, which I passed on. We spent most of the day in the 3rd for boys common room watching TV etc. T managed to cathc glimpse of my yellow bra through my black top (aah mistakeee) and commented on it. We had instant noodles for lunch. Met some new kids. T has already started working on his next week's presentation. G A Y . I think the entire purple team should collaborate for a win :) Um went to the convenience store... M got back and went out for Sushi with S. Counselor W gave us cake. She is very sweet, and is more friendly once she gets to know you :). Nothing much else this week.
