I really dislike this background image, but I honestly cannot be bothered to change it (: Anyways, I’ve been back home for… what two weeks now. And I’ve accomplished… nothing (: Which is a shame because I had a PLAN. Which involved practicing instruments, languages, memorising a surah, excercising and re-capping what a learnt in Canada. Enrichment. It was a fail. I’ve been ill, which has pretty much sucked. I was ill as soon as I got home, with the flu, and now I’m ill again. Yay. >_<. For this I blame entirely my Bob. Bleh I’ve had fever, a reaaaally bad sore throat, the usual cold and cough (all this is bacterial), topped off by (this is where Bob really comes in) an eye infection. It’s the adenovirus. My eyes are red, and I have to keep putting drops and ointment etc, which is not all that fun. I’ve also got a stiffffff neck as I was originally sleeping awkwardly to try and prevent lying on my pillow so that the virus could spread from one eye to another. It spread anyways. So I have 2 infected eyes and a stiff neck. I also have reaaaally bad cramps because I’m on those stupid pills again. –sigh- All this icky sickness, has kept me at home pretty much and ruined my plan . I did however see A last Wednesday. Me, Ser, A and her sisters and J went for tea. It was nice to see everyone, and A’s sisters are really very entertaining hahaa. I also bought myself a pair of slightly heely black shoes for school as well as a couple of shirts. I’m still amidst a slight uniform crisis. Ideally, I’d like two pairs of shoes (check), 2 suit jackets (I have one from MUN but Mom thinks I should get thicker warmer ones), several bottoms like 3 skirts and 2 trousers (I have none.) Bob is in the UK now, but I do not trust him to do my shopping, so I shall have to make the best of here and my time when I get there. So, usually I don’t go in the kitchen for cooking… more for eating. When I was like 8, I tried to make pizza for my whole family. It came out of the oven… the cheese was burnt… my sister refused to taste it, however my parents did, and they discovered that although the cheese was very well cooked, the dough was not cooked at all. Quel desastre. Since then, all I have cooked is instant noodles (which I burnt once) and eggs. Then, recently for some reason I had an urge to eat Bannoffee pie. So I made it. It was not that difficult, as the only heating involved was to boil the condensed milk can for 2 hours until it caramelised. The rest was basically just layering the ingredients. I used this method. It worked quite well, except I did not follow the measurements exactly and they weren’t too clear. They asked for a back of cookies, so I used a pack, but I have a feeling my pack was much bigger than theirs as I had a loooot of biscuit crumbs. Which then did not stick together. This was the main problem, which merely resulted in a disproportionate amount of cookies in relation to my other ingredients. I also bashed up some Cadbury’s Flakes to put on top rather than grating chocolate. Ser automatically refused to eat it because she’s mean like that and does not like bananas, and of course Ali followed suit and tried it and claimed it was gross. My mom and Mamu liked it, but I really wish Bob was here, it is a shame he travelled. Pictures Below (:
Other stuff… I also got my IGCSE results . These were quite pleasing (: I took 3 Sciences, Maths, Additional Maths, French, History , English Land & Lit and Computer Studies. I got 9A*s and an A. The A was in Add.Maths. It would have been nice to get and A* in that too haha ;) but I was extremely pleased 7amdillah as were the parentals. Due to this the parentals are being quite generous and getting me a new phone :) My old one is pretty dead, after my sister lost parts of it when she took it to Cyprus. I can’t decide whether to get a Blackberry or the iPhone 3GS. And everyone keeps giving me mixed opinions. I’m leaning towards the iPhone as I really like how my iPod touch works, but I’m still somewhat unsure. My mom also bought me new perfume (: Yay. It’s been the one I try on every time I go to a department store or something. My usual has been Escada’s Magnetism for some time, but now I’m going to be using Lancôme’s Hypnôse (:
Meh, I still have a tonne of stuff to do before I leave for school. I want my room to be organised, and I want to pack all my clothes, sort out my stationsary, toileteries and my computer. I have hijacked the laptop that was once my sister’s baby. I’d now like to move my pictures, logs etc all on to this computer. Oh and songs, that’s another issue. Mozilla on this laptop was driving me mad, and Bob deleted Internet Explorer as he claims it lets all the viruses in, so I downloaded opera. I kind of like it. I also got this widget called Sim Aquarium which I admit I am somewhat addicted to :P I’m off to bed now (: -[n][a][d][a][&][♥]
